Citing using DOI

This is the unique indicator to this particular article, and makes citing incredibly easy,
when used with online citation sites such as citethisforme.com.
Finding DOI from Locate
First find the article you have cited and want to reference.

Click on the button marked Details under the short description.

Scroll down until you get to the Identifier:

Finding DOI on Ebsco

First find the article you wish to cite.

Then click the

icon. A window will open, and go to detailed record.

This will take you to another page. Scroll down to the bottom until you see the phrase:
Digital Object Identifier.

The DOI will be in the format of a website, so in this case:

http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/s10460-014-9564-9 you can either use this entire code or just
the section after .org/ which in this case is: 10.1007/s10460-014-9564-9
Note: not all Ebsco articles will have a DOI.

Citing and referencing using the DOI

Step one: find the DOI

Step two: use this code to have citethisforme automatically fill in the details.
Go to citethisforme.com (use the QR code on the
side)
Ensure that you have set the citation style to Harvard
Coventry University. Here known as CU Harvard.

Go to Add Journal article

This will appear:

In the search box enter
the DOI code (in this
example

10.1073/pnas.1317377110). Press search and then it will automatically fill in the

details. Scroll to the bottom and click add reference.

Add the reference and then you will see:

Where it says Bibliography this is the reference and in-text means citation. So if you
cited something from this article it would be
Wine is nice (Bokulich et al. 2013).
But your reference that you would put on your reference list would be:
