Today, as MATLAB is used by most of engineering domains like embedded system

s, robotics, signal processing.
So I think with this position, I will get to work in these diverse areas
and will get to learn lot of new things.
I am working as research assistant in TI-DSP(Texas Instruments-Digital signa
l Processing) laboratory.
In this lab, I am involved in design of experiments like FIR filter usin
g circular buffering, Fast fourier transform, Direct Memory Access,
on TMS320C5515 processor from TI. So I am familiar with C and assembly l
anguage programming. We also use MATLAB for conducting
some of lab experiments, so I am familiar with MATLAB programming .I thi
nk these skills makes me a good fit for this position.

While working on my BE Project(Content Based Image Retrieval), me and my project
partner had conflict about whether
to use user feedback in system or to implement complete automated system. At tha
t time, I convinced him that user feedback in
system could be much useful by showing him results. Finally we implemented user
feedback in our CBIR system and got improved results.

This incident is from my undergraduate college(PICT, Pune). Our college team par
ticipated in ROBOCON 2011(a national level robotics event).
This was first time that our college participated in this event. But our colleg
e did not have mechanical department.
So to build mechanical assembly of robot, team was needed. At that time me and
my other two friends came forward.
We learned SolidEdge(Mechanical design software), to simulate robot designs. Fi
nally, we designed manual robot and it successfully completed tasks in competiti
on.
