THE TOWER OF STINTINO

The Tower of Stintino is placed on a very

small island between the Piana Isle and
Falcone Cape.
It is in the North-West of Sardinia

The Tower of Stintino was built in 1578 by the

Aragonesi and till in 1846 it was used as part of a
difensive system and comunication in the North of
Sardinia. The Tower of Stintino was placed in a
strategic position to control the traffic of the vessels
that sailed along the coast.

It has a conical shape with a base of 16 meters

of diamiter and 6 meters of height.
There was a small entrance and a window.

It is placed next to one of the most

beautiful beaches in the world.
This beach is called La Pelosa
