Autobiography

My name is Angela Vasquez; I was born January 27, 1977,

in Tijuana, Mexico. I was brought to California by my aunt in
the year 1977; I was just eight months old. My aunt helped
my parents by taking me with her to California, and passing
me off as her daughter. My parents did not meet the United
States border requirements, so I left with my aunt. My parents
later came to California because my father lost his job,
because the restaurant that he was working in burned down.
My parents came to California with my oldest brother Jose
Juan and my sister Sandra. Later when my parents settled in
California, they had my baby sister Rosa. Its a total of four of
us. I am very grateful for all the work and sacrifices that my
parents made to make ends meet. If it wasnt for my parents,
I wouldnt be here today. I realized that in other countries of
the world, I wouldnt have as much freedom as I do here.
Living in California has given me plenty of opportunities to
and experiences in my life.

My baptism took place

My high school Graduation was

in the year 1996. I graduated
from Narbonne
High School. My graduation
was very special because I was
the only one that
graduated out of four
children.

Another memorable
event was my graduation from
Harbor College in the year
2000.
I really enjoyed attending Los
Angeles Harbor College
because I learned to be more
responsible and my professors
were very supportive

My wedding was July 15,

2000.
After being together for
six years, we finally
decided to get married.
We have being married for
twelve years.

The fifth event that was

very important to me was
giving birth to my first
child Andrew Vasquez.
Having my first child was
a great experience and a
gift.

Another decision that dramatically impacted me was deciding
whether I would get my Associates Degree first from Los Angeles
Harbor College or to get marry
The second decision that dramatically impacted me was deciding
whether I would continue college after having my first baby. I
decided to stop going to school for one year after I had the first
baby
