    Allergic rhinitis, chronic rhinosinusitis and asthma are closely interrelated conditions that often occur together due to shared risk factors and pathophysiology. The prevalence of chronic rhinosinusitis is higher in patients with asthma compared to those with allergic rhinitis alone. A number of different predisposing genetic and environmental factors can increase the risk of developing these conditions. Proper management of the upper airway diseases may help improve asthma control.
