Dear Mr. Stark,

My name is Jamie Yu. I am a sophomore student from China who is majoring in

Education at Principia College. I will be interning in your social studies classroom
from November 2nd to 20th.
I am teaching one Mandarin Chinese course at my college. Before I came back
to school, I taught language and culture in Moscow (Russia), New York City, and
China for three years. I enjoy learning from different cultures and value the
experiences I had working with people from all over the world. I am flexible and
able to adapt to new environments easily.
To be honest, I haven't had any American public school experience. It is going to
be a new and different learning opportunity for me. At the same time, I would like
to share and give a different perspective from my own experience. I look forward
to learning from you and your students.
