Jacksonville Art Walk Will Be Hosting Third Annual Oktoberfest
JACKSONVILLE, FLA., Oct. 5, 2015- The third annual Oktoberfest will celebrate
artists, painters, chefs and offers more than a dozen live performers and will include
an appearance by Jacksonvilles Mayor Lenny Curry.
Im excited about what this event means for Jacksonville, said Mayor Lenny
Curry.
The event will officially start when Lenny Curry taps the keg for the first
time.
The first Oktoberfest brought more than 15,000 visitors into downtown
Jacksonville, and we expect even more this year, says Art Walk marketing director
Hana Ashchi.
Many types of art and entertainment will be offered this year at Oktoberfest,
including a feature performance by Dan Wituki and the Mein Heinmatland
Musickanten Band. The owners of the W Studio 121, Inc. Will Neal and Christain
Blaq, will be performing at their professional recording studio located on Bay Street.
Hoptinger Bier Garden & Sausage House will be holding a sausage-eating
contest and there will be hot dog costume races. Caf Nola will also be open for a
place for people to stop and get some German-themed food.
It brings thousands of visitors into downtown where they can see the
artistry and diversity of our city.
