Student Performance Objectives (SPO): By the end of the lesson, students should
be able to:

(P): Demonstrate correct baton handoff technique using cue sheets throughout the
lesson.

(C): Identify the name for the last runner to go on a team and which person should
be the anchor during the closure.
(SHAPE 2; MA CF 2.14; Intro/Closure)
(A): Show respect to selves, others and equipment by staying off the equipment
and showing good sportsmanship throughout the unit.

Teacher Performance Objectives During the lesson the teacher will:

1. Have a strong presence by being highly enthusiastic, joining in with the warm-up
and having a loud voice
Special Considerations What are the safety concerns? What is unique

Make sure theres enough space between students
Be strict with rules and if students arent following rules sit them on side
Emily has an IEP and has trouble holding and handing off objects (baton) so she
can do the high five handoff to make it easier for her and help give her success

lines for attendance.

Start and Stop Signals:
-Start signal: single whistle
-Stop signal: double whistle and
students sit or take a knee
Safety-keep safe space between classmates

are continuing relays and finishing the
last day of racing. Teacher will edit
teams if they are unfair in previous
class

person will be at a cone in a line
