A RESOLUTION CALLING ON THE HONORABLE MEMBERS OF THE
CITY COUNCIL TO CONSIDER AND APPROVE THE YOUTH
INVESTMENT ITEMS IN THE 2016 CITY BUDGET
WHEREAS, The Oro Youth Development Council is founded on the
principle of youth participation in governance as an alternative route
for existing youth organizations to be part in the decision making
processes of the city;
WHEREAS, The Oro Youth Development Council engages in social
accountability programs, service-delivery, leadership development
trainings and citizenship education catering to various youth sectors in
the city namely the out-of-school youth, the in-school youth, the youth
with special needs, the faith-based youth, community based youth and
Indigenous Youth Organizations;
WHEREAS, this budget item for the Oro youth development programs
will greatly contribute to the success of the strategic engagements
designed to make Cagayan de Oro the leader of youth empowerment
in the Island;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT; The Oro Youth Development
Council earnestly calls on the honorable members of the City Council
to consider and approve the youth investment items of the 2106 city
budget.
