Erikson suggests

that It is hard to
find your identity
because it
continues to
form your whole
entire life (1959).
According to
Winsor,
Eriksons Eight
Ages of Man
describe a
person's
different identity
stages from birth
to death (2015).

For example a child

can change his self
concept from moms
little man to
teachers helper
due to a change in
environment from
home to school
(Winsor at
al.,2015). Schools
help an
adolescence
discover his/her
identity (Erikson,
1968).

Grotevant (1987)
states that finding
your identity is a
problem-solving
behavior and you
need to know
information about
yourself in order to
make important life
choices that fit your
personality best.
Winsor (2015) also
states that during the
adolescent period
individuals make huge
life choices and in
many cases it has to
do with their
commitment of
identity, like choosing
a job or major.

People who
explore their
identity are
more likely to
be open to
diversity, have
higher moral
reasoning, and
have stronger
self-awareness
(Flum &
Kaplan, 2006).
Superego is
rooted by your
conscious
which directly
affects your
moral
reasoning in a
positive
manner
(Winsor at
all.,2015).
