I'm taking ASL to satisfy my high school graduation requirements

I'm a visual learner so I'm taking ASL rather than French, German, or Spanish.
The Deaf culture is interesting to me.
I tried another world language, struggled with understanding it, and I think ASL will be easier.
I won't have to do as much homework nor studying for ASL in comparison to other world lang.
I will be able to utilize my knowledge of ASL with my future occupation.
When communicating in class, I struggle not being able to use voice and rely on sign only.
I would like to be able to communicate with Deaf, Hard of Hearing in school w/out interpreters.
I would like to use my ASL skills at lunch with other Deaf students.
I am a high achieving student.
I need a class that is firmly structured but is also friendly when I make mistakes.
I believe the only way to learn a second language is to be fully immersed in it daily.
I am a learner who needs different activities to learn.
I often do not do well on assessments as I become very nervous when it is time to take one.
I have many Deaf and/or Hard of Hearing friends that use sign language to communicate.
