Description of service learning: During the month of September, Hannah Schueder and I volunteered our time
coaching third and fourth grade volleyball at West Elementary, teaching them fundamentals and doing volleyball drills
to improve their volleyball game.
Reflections on service learning opportunity:
While coaching the third and fourth graders, we were able to see which girls had more experience with volleyball and
which girls didnt. It was interesting to see how many of them progressed over the month, just with simple skills.
Overall, this was an experience, it was my first time actually coaching a team and I have come away with many ideas
for the future and would love to do this again!
