Study Abroad in Southeast Asia- The Institute for Village Studies

Spent one quarter traveling along the border of Thailand and Myanmar, working with various
nonprofits.

The Border Green Energy Team: Assisted the team with teaching Burmese students
how to live and farm sustainably as well as helped to build adobe dormitories.

The Help Without Frontiers Foundation: Established an initial relationship with an

organization that educates children of transient families.

Zwekabin Myay - Hpa-an Education Project: Initiated a relationship with a Myanmar

nonprofit charter school, whose mission is to provide education to Burmese students
with limited access to education. Collaboratively built bathrooms for a local
orphanage, and planned educational programs to teach English to the local Burmese
students.
Young Life Leader/ Team Leader- Sehome High School, Bellingham
2015

Sept. 2013- May

While attending Western Washington University, collaborated with a group of college-aged

leaders to plan and execute Young Life meetings for over 30 high school students on a weekly
basis. Responsibilities included creating presentations, outreach and financial management.
Worked to create a consistent and supportive environment for students. Additionally, tutored
high school students in Geography, Math, English and Spanish.
