You probably need to enable the "universe" repository.
H ow do Ienable the "Universe" repository?
O nce you enable it,update yoursystem and you should now be able to install google
chromestable .
sudoaptgetupdate
sudoaptgetinstalllibgconf24libnss31dlibxss1

I've found itto be quite stable.It's essentially justlike Chrom e. sm ooth-texan N ov 24 '12 at4:55

You can fix this by installing m issing dependencies.

RightClick on D EB file and selectfirstoption i.e "open w ith ubuntu softw are center",W hen file
opens in Ubuntu softw are centerclick installoption.
