Leadership Framework
Leadership Framework
Philosophy of education
1. I believe every student has the right to work to their academic potential.
2. I believe public education, supported by families and the community, is appropriate and
efficient only when all students reach their academic potential.
3. I believe administrators and educators should always strive to improve their delivery of
services and never accept complacency.
Philosophy of leadership
The effective leader creates a synergistic relationship among the team members enabling them to
work toward a common vision. It is the responsibility of the leader to improve student
achievement by creating Col-Labor-Ation among the team members.
Vision of learning
1. All students can learn; some require more time.
2. Teaching ends with understanding. Reteach until students acquire competency. Allow
students to retake assessments to demonstrate competency.
3. Teach what matters: align what is taught to the curriculum.
4. Encourage students to increase their efforts with rewards and recognition.
5. Personalize learning to address the needs of each student.
Vision for teachers
The leader will inspire teachers to feel urgency in their mission and he/she will create a culture
where there is a relentless pursuit of learning. Success does not happen by accident.
Vision for Manchester Regional High School
The district will be a premier district and a model for teaching and learning across the State of
New Jersey.
Vision for curriculum, instruction, assessment
The curriculum informs instruction and is aligned to the Common Core State Standards. A welldeveloped curriculum is an essential guide for teaching and is referenced by teachers in lesson
plans.
Appropriate assessments will indicate the progress of each student toward meeting the Common
Core State Standards and include three steps: Assess, Analyze, and Act.
Leadership Framework
Analyze: Student data from assessments will be analyzed by the teaching staff to identify areas
of strength and weakness.
Act: Instruction will be tailored to meet the needs of individual students.
