Analysis of Assessment Data

As you can see, multiple methods of assessments were used to engage learners in their own growth. To
monitor learner progress, I used the checklist to determine the success of the 8 participants. The main
audience involves 5th grade teachers. The audience teaches a variety of content courses at Bluffton
Elementary School in Bluffton, South Carolina. Based on the assessment data, the following were the
results:

88% of the participants created an account with Piktochart. All personal information was
applied professionally.
63% of the participants accounts were accessible to peers and instructor. All links were visible
and working.
63% of the participants displayed infographic.
75% of the participants walls were well organized and colorful. All pictures and wording were
related.
100% of the participants displayed a creative appropriate lesson plan idea where students create
infographics.

Based on the assessment data, I believe that the Face-to-Face Workshop for Creating Infographics
through Piktochart was successful. In the future, I would make sure that all participants have been
notified to bring a technology device to the meeting. This is the reason that 1 participant was unable to
make an infographic. Also, in the future, I will plan more time for participants to create creative products.
For this workshop, I believe that most of the participants were exploring the applications for the first time,
causing limited creativity on final products. Overall, I enjoyed teaching this workshop. I am very proud of
the participation and final products of the learners.

Participant Evaluation

Analysis of Participant Evaluation Data

The participant evaluation was designed to determine the overall effectiveness of professional learning.
To gather the evaluation data, I used Google Form which created a spreadsheet and charts of the data. The
main audience involves 5th grade teachers. The audience teaches a variety of content courses at Bluffton
Elementary School in Bluffton, South Carolina. Based on the evaluation data, the following were the
results:

Majority of the participants have been teaching over a year.

100% of the participants claimed that infographics will help in students writing.

63% of the participants claimed the thing assignment was somewhat interesting.

50% of the participants claimed the course was extremely easy.

63% of the participants claimed the course was not challenging but very easy.

75% of the participants claimed that they always knew what to do.

100% of the participants claimed that they would recommend the course to someone else.

Based on the evaluation data, I believe that the Face-to-Face Workshop for Creating Infographics
through Piktochart was successful. In the future, I would make sure that all participants have been
notified to bring a technology device to the meeting. This is the reason that 1 participant was unable to
make an infographic. To increase participants interest in the future, I would limit the amount of
background information. Also, in the future, I will plan more time for participants to create creative

products. 2 participants claimed that this would be something that they would change about the workshop.
I believe that most of the participants were exploring the applications for the first time, causing limited
creativity on final products. Overall, I enjoyed teaching this workshop. I am very proud of the
participation and final products of the learners.

assessed on their ability to create infographics through Piktochart.
6. Do you think the UDL principles were followed appropriately? If no, explain.
Yes: Learners are given a choice to respond which optimizes individual choice and autonomy.
Learners are given the opportunity to work at own pace by using technology (students will read,
listen, and view the instructions).
7. Is there anything that you think would make this module better? If yes, please
explain.
Base on the assessment and evaluation data, I will use this information to modify the module.

The Face-to-Face Workshop for Creating Infographics through Piktochart was a great learning
experience. It allowed me to concentrate on the planning and implementation of information needed for
the course. Majority of the participants responded positively to the workshop. If I could do it over again, I
would limit the introductory-background information. I found that some of the participants showed signs
of being bored with this information. Also, I would have participants brainstorm ideas of using products
in the classroom at the beginning of the lesson. This might help final products to be creative and
interesting. Teachers often are required to participate in professional development, so I had a hard time
getting participants to participate since one was not required by the district. I do wish more teachers
would have been at the workshop. Breaking the workshop into smaller sections, might be beneficial since
many teachers claimed that they did not have enough time to create. As a continual growth in content
knowledge and skills, I will stay updated on current information on creating infographics. I will research
blogs, stay current with the website applications and attend workshops that would be beneficial to my
teaching and sharing of the instructional technology.
