Stage 3 Learning Plan

PRE-ASSESSMENT(S):

Use essential questions to retain interest. Introduce leadership
(Spirit, Service, Support, Spirit) and what it means to be a leader
- Use Journals monthly. Use Pinterest board to find leadership
aspects. Students will discuss their entry every class.
Introduce Support
- Discussion about Support. Teacher will provide an excerpt of the
purpose and meaning of Support. Students will try to answer what
support means to them.
- Students will Visit network tree. Students will affectively add
someone they have met that has impacted their life on a tree
branch, then branch those people in categories.
- Students will attend sport events and cumulate a paper on
teamwork they observed.
Introduce Spirit
- Discussion about Spirit. Teacher will provide an excerpt of its
purpose and meaning of Spirit. Students will try to answer what
support means to them.
- Students will attend one session of Fellowship Christian Athletes.
They will reflect about what the learned and how they can use it.
- Attend a game. Students will provide a write up of teamwork from
attending a calendar year game of any sport.
Introduce Service
- Discussion about Service. Teacher will provide an excerpt of the

- Revisit questions about the first conducted discussion on the topic
of Service. Students will answers questions they might have not
known in the beginning.
- Each day students will be challenged by performing random acts
of kindness for the whole month.
Introduce School
- Discussion about School. Teacher will provide an excerpt of the
purpose and meaning of School. Students will try to answer what
School means to them.
- Franciscan Goals. Students will revisit school goals and reflect
- Identify Self-worth. Student will be ask questions on what defines
them.
- School/Sport Concepts. Students will try and find connections of
what they are learning in the classroom and transfer them on the
field (Vice versa).
- Identify Self-worth Recap. Student will re-identify themselves as
more than an athlete.
