during their daily reading time. The teacher
will then talk to the class about nouns and find
nouns on the first page. The teacher will then

The Lesson Structure: Activities
Students will work in groups of three to create
40 mins

a word cloud. First, each group will have a copy


of the story. The students will go through the
book and find as many nouns as they can. The
students will then enter the nouns into Wordle
and create a noun word cloud.

Closing/Assessment
When the students are finished, they will present
their word cloud with the projector in the front of
the room.
