Faction Bay Briefing

General points to make.

If students are being transported from school, they must be at
school by 8:40am and go straight to the undercover area. There will
be a bus transporting students.
Students MUST report to their class teacher to have their name
marked off the role, then wait to be released to faction flag for
march.
Students will follow their faction captains to the start of the 100m
track, down the track, through the finish line and around the BACK
of the marquees into their bay.
Students in the 800m events need to be ready for immediate
marshalling they need to go straight to the front of the bay.
Students must wait in the faction bay whilst they are not competing.
Students should be wearing their faction uniform and red broad rim
hat as well as appropriate running shoes.
Sunscreen/water/healthy food - there is to be NO
Gatorade/Powerade etc.
Behaviour Expectations

Behaviour expectations are the same as if students were at school.

Blue slips and faction tokens will be utilised (a supply will be in
faction clipboards).
Students are NOT to leave the faction bay to visit parents/family in
the spectator area. This is very important!!! Recess and lunch must
be spent in the bays.
Toilet/First Aid if a student needs to use either, they must get a
pass and have their name recorded. There will be 2 boys and 2 girl
toilet passes per faction. Students must go to the toilet in pairs.

Emergency Plan
Faction bay supervisors will escort students to the muster point. This will
be located at the finish line for 100m events. Students will need to sit in
their faction groups and wait quietly for further instructions.

Event Participants
Please run through event listing so students know what they will be
participating in on the day. Every student should be in a running race and
at least 1 team game. If this is not the case, can you please let me know
ASAP?

Thanks
Vanessa
