Mopta Lesson Plan Attempt
Mopta Lesson Plan Attempt
5. Instructional Strategies
Teacher approach to helping students achieve the learning objectives (goals) and meet their needs
This lesson is all about fun while learning. It is more of a hands on project to get the students
minds going. There will be class-wide discussions as well as small group. With these discussions
I hope that the students will gain a better understanding of the lesson as a whole.
6. Learning Activities
Opportunities provided for students to develop knowledge and skills of the learning objectives (goals)
My goals this week are for the students to know what someone means when they talk about the
Holocaust, or what one of the great causes of World War Two were. I want them to be able to
engage in knowledgeable discussions in and outside of the classroom with peers and with
elders.
8. Technology
Instructional and/or assistive technology incorporated into the lesson to enhance instruction and student
learning
Use of the smart-board with powerpoint; use of classroom iPads for Holocaust project
9. Differentiation/Accommodations/Modifications/Increase in Rigor
To help meet the needs of all learners, learning differences, cultural and language differences, etc.
Students with learning needs will still participate in classroom discussions to help increase their knowledge as
well. Their worksheets will be modified according to their accommodations as well as their ability to read
aloud or not. If needed they will sit with another student to be able to follow along better with the story.
11. Extensions
Activities for early finishers that extend students understanding of and thinking about the learning
objectives (goals) by applying their new knowledge in a different way
Early finishers will have the opportunity to use one of the many classroom laptops or iPads to play
educational quizzing games on their knowledge of what we have learned so far.
