Dear Judges:
My name is Ajay Patel I am 16 years old and I am a junior attending St. James High
School. Even though I do not graduate for another year from now I am very excited
to graduate from high school and move on to college.
I have been doing karate for almost 11 years, I practice every day and I compete at
tournaments about once every two months. I wanted to do my research topic on
martial arts because it is something that I know very well and something that I am
very interested in. Both of my little brothers do karate also so I wanted to research
the progression of other children since I have seen my brothers progress since they
started.
My Senior Exploration process was fairly easy, When I started my service hours I
had to help set up a tournament which was fairly difficult and then I had to judge at
the tournament which was really fun and I got to see the progression of the children
that do martial arts.
