Directions for American Revolution Presentations

1. Research your groups battle. Each group member should be assigned one
section. Each group member should be taking notes on his/her assigned
section while researching. Dont forget to write down the sources you are
using.
I.
Leading up to the battle

When the battle took place
b.
Who the commanding officers were
c.
The size of each force
d.
Background information (important events leading up to the battle or any
information that puts the battle into context)
II.
During the Battle
a.
Tactics that were used; how the battle played outthis is simply the story of the
battle
III.
Conclusion of the battle
a.
Who won
b.
Casualties
c.
Impact on the war or significance of the battle

Create an outline (rough draft) of how your group plans to present the
information:
The order in which information will be presented
An approximation of the time each member will be speaking
Main ideas each member will be speaking on

Create an interesting multimedia presentation (Powerpoint, Prezi) covering
the researched information.
Presentations should be about 2-3 minutes long
Everyone in the group has to speak.
Presentations need to be emailed to me at joel.davis@bonsallusd.com, and your
group needs to state the name of the battle and your class period in the subject
line.
You must include a bibliography at the end of the presentation, so write down
your sources as you research. You must have at least 4 sources.
You should have plenty of visuals (I.E., maps, pictures)
Keep text on slides to a minimumthe audience wants to listen, not read.
Refer to the rubric to see how you will be graded.
