With the ever-increasing threat of Borg incursion, Starfleet has endevoured to produce a strategy to counter Borg battle strategies. This document is the result of intense research and strategizing on the part of the
Andorian Military Academy, and represents the efforts of Starfleets greatest strategic minds. For easy memorization, this strategy has been broken down into three easy steps.
1. Prepare
2. Resist
3. Counterattack
Please review this material, and conduct regular drills with your crew.
1.Prepare
1. Stall
Keep the Borg talking for as long as possible. Negotiation and threats are reccommended.
2. Distribute weapons
You will need:
2. Resist
With sensitive areas secured and the Borg swarming onto your ship, its time to prove your mettle. Appropriately armed security teams should proceed onto compromised decks to clear them of Borg forces. This includes all rooms and Jeffries Tubes. All uncompromised decks should be locked down and depressurized to
contain the Borg. After leaving an area, security teams must lock down and depressurize the area to prevent
the Borg from reclaiming it. REMAIN IN SIGHT OF YOUR SQUADMATES AT ALL TIMES!
Entering a Room:
Security officers should exercise caution when entering any room on an affected deck. Before opening the
door, one member of the squad must scan the room with his tricorder. If Borg life signs are detected, open the
door, throw in a grenade, and close the door. After the grenade has detonated, cautiously enter the room to
ensure that there are no survivors. THE BORG DONT TAKE PRISONERS, AND NEITHER
SHOULD YOU!
Jeffires Tubes present a unique obstacle to security teams, due to their narrow confines. It is recommended
that at least two squads be assigned to clear a Jeffries Tube.
When securing a Jeffries Tube, officers should first scan the tube with their tricorders. If Borg lifesigns are
detected, open the hatch, ensuring that at least one weapon is trained on it. If no Borg are in sight, one squad
will proceed into the tube and use their SIDEARMS to neutralize any resistance. Because of the delicate
nature of the systems inside of Jeffries Tubes, it is not advised to use grenades or automatic shotguns to clear
resistance.
While the first squad does this, the second squad will wait at the entrance to the tube, preventing the Borg
from outflanking the first squad. SQUADS MUST REMAIN IN CONTACT AT ALL TIMES!
3. Counterattack
You will need:
Photon Torpedo
DANGER! Photon Torpedoes are high-yield explosive weapons,
designed for long range ship-to-ship engagements. EXERCISE
EXTREME CAUTION!
While your security teams battle the Borg, dispatch a sizeable security detail to beam aboard
the Borg vessel with a Photon Torpedo. The security detail will make their way towards the
center of the Borg vessel. Upon reaching the center of the vessel, arm the torpedo and set it on
a timed detonator. MAKE SURE THE ASSAULT TEAM HAS ENOUGH TIME
TO ESCAPE!
When the torpedo detonates, it should do massive amounts of damage to the interior of the
ship, forcing it to divert all of its energy to self-repair. This should allow you set a course away
from the Borg vessel at maximum warp. Security teams should continue to sweep your ship
for remaining Borg drones, until all decks have been secured.
