Final Reflection 4:

-Explain how your critical reading has improved during the semester. (Ex. In what ways did
you read across texts for connections and patterns in your inquiry?)

This course has enhanced my ability to both quickly read over a piece to gain its basic
ideas and my ability to read a piece in depth for the small details that make up the arguments of a
piece. This was mostly used for the inquiry sources. First, a quick skim will reveal anything
about the author that may need to be researched for the annotated bibliography and any big terms
that need to be defined for the complete understanding of the arguments and information. A
second more detailed read through helped to gain the details of the piece and any bits of
information that may be needed for the thesis or referenced to in the thesis.
