Developed K-2 culture plan for 30 Tier III behavior students resulting in a decrease of
Tier III referrals by 65%.

Developed student-centered mentorship program with an emphasis on reading


increasing the time spent on-task reading by 69% and an increase in reading
homework by 75% of both students involved.

Designed and implemented teacher appreciation activities in response to a previously


analyzed survey boosting teacher morale and plan to return by 40%

Democracy Prep Congress Heights Public Charter School

July 2014-July 2015

Developed and implemented differentiated behavior and academic plans for struggling
students resulting in 75 % less send outs and growth in reading by at least 2 STEP
levels and 40% in math according to Eureka End of Module Assessments

Led reading interventions resulting in 78% of scholars meeting mid-year goals, having
grown at least three levels according to the STEP assessment

Chaired ELA committee and designed strategic writing rubric resulting in that student
growth from 0% on level the to now 64 % of scholars reaching grade level writing goal
according to Bimonthly Writing Assessments.

Designed reteach curriculum resulting in 84 % growth on math reteach standards


based off of ANET, Achievement Network, data which was the overall score in second
grade during the second administration of the math ANET, Achievement Network.

Woodson K-8 Leadership Academy

June 2012-June 2014

Used innovative methods and materials to produce an effective learning experience for
24 students resulting in students increasing from 65% passing on the High Frequency
Word Exam to 86% the following year being the highest on the primary level.

Organized differentiated and target small group instruction resulting in an average of


1.6 years of growth in Reading according to the Developmental Reading Assessment

Designed 10 Reading exemplar lesson plans for Houston Independent School Districts
Teacher Resources portal

Led a team of 3 teachers through coaching, feedback, allocation of resources, data


analysis and any other instructional needs

Teach for America June 2012-June 2014

Selected from approximately 20,000 applicants nationwide to join national teacher


corps of recent college graduates and professionals who commit two years to teach in
under-resourced public schools ensuring students receive an education equivalent to
their affluent peers.

Executed diversity and inclusiveness session aimed at promoting the building of


authentic partnerships with external stakeholders building, an inclusive and welcoming
classroom culture, and building relationships with groups of diverse individuals

Served as a Transitional Team Leader, the leader responsible for ensuring incoming
corps members transition to Houston is seamless while providing context, experiences
and opportunities for the future teachers to be successful teaching in low-income
communities in Houston.

Facilitated diversity conversation on Race, Class and Privilege during summer institute
training with incoming corps members

Served as a faculty advisor, observing and coaching incoming corps members through
out their summer school internship which is their first classroom experience
