What Weve Been

In Intensive French we are finishing up our unit

on food. Our next steps are to talk about the

nutritional value of food that we often eat, and

to give advice as to what foods we should eat
more and less of. Please practice conversing

with your student about food, using the phrases

that I have provided in the French is Fun
handout.
Students are writing about themselves and
others more independently and with spontaneity.
We are currently reading longer texts with
richer verbs, more sounds, and new vocabulary.
Please practice reading with your student at
home, in both French and English with a
concentration on fluency and pronunciation.

- Please get your skates and helmets
ready for skating in January (If you need
skates or a helmet please let me know)
- If you would like to send Christmas
treats for the class, please do so Dec. 17
(but PLEASE do not feel obligated)
- Please ensure that your student is
dressed properly for the weather. If
needed, we do have hats/mitts here at
school.
- Tis the season for lice! Please check
your child frequently
