"Responding--Really Responding--to Other Students' Writing" p. 48. Annotate. Approx.
3/4 page daybook.
They talked about how peer-reviewing helps foster skills in academics, but I think what is
learned in peer review can apply to the real world too. Being open to other peoples suggestions
and criticism, then knowing how to use them constructively is a vital skill to succeeding in life.
There is a quote that really stuck with me: You come up with the best questions with fresh
eyes. That is extremely true; not only with other peoples fresh eyes, but with your own too.
Every notice that when you cant solve a problem, taking a break from it to give your mind a rest
often make it easier for you to come up with a solution? Well its the same in writing. Both using
peers to get that fresh perspective, and reading other peoples papers to give you a moment away
from your own writing will give you that pop of inspiration youve been needing.
