Our Weekly Learning


MATH: Addition of 0-20 3.7 add 10 and more, 3.8 make a 10 to add, 3.9 make
a ten jumble, 3.10 add 3 numbers. Students will take a quiz on adding 5.
READING: We will practice magic e word, vowel digraphs, and building
sentences. We will read the stories: Sam Saves Jen, Josh, and Gran, Splash
Dogs, Tex and Rex, and Grans Mud Run.
WRITING & GRAMMAR: We will read and respond in writing to the text,
make a tree map of Proper nouns, and write about Mummies Made in Egypt.
CK LISTENING & LEARNING: We will continue our unit Early World
Civilizations, with lessons on: The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, People of
the Nile, Writing in Ancient Egypt, Amon-Ra and the Gods of Ancient
Egypt, and the Great Pyramid.

News From the Nest


Hello Parents. Our new A.R. goal for 2nd quarter is to read and test on 2 books per
week with 85% or higher comprehension. Please write a note in the agenda when your
child is ready for a test and be sure that they have read the book out loud to you at
least once. This will really help them with their comprehension. Also, we are expecting
the kids to use at least 5 or more words in their spelling sentences. Thank you for your
support with this! Have a safe and happy Halloween weekend!
