(BRIEF DESCRIPTION)
The main plot will revolve around computer
hacking, e.g, the protagonist will be stalked by
someone who he/she does not know who they are but
the antagonist will know them and will be posting
pictures, videos, texts, e.t.c, in order to ruin their
reputation.
The start of the film will consist the ending of our
short film.

GENRES AND
CONVENTIONS
Our sub-genre is cyber thriller based around a stalker who happens to be a
hacker. We aim to build tension and suspense for the climax for our cyber thriller.
We plan to use various online networking sites such as Facebook, Instagram,
skype and WhatsApp to portray the suspense we plan to create.

The typical conventions of our thriller involves the use of low key lighting, quick
cuts, shadows, tense music, variety of sound affects in sync with expressions of
the protagonist and antagonist. We want to use a variety of jump cuts and cross
cutting to build suspense. We are going to use the act of hacking in our
production to create a sense a of realism used by the antagonist towards the
protagonist.

CHARACTER TYPES
The protagonist and antagonist will be presented
as the typical stereotypes of the young victim being
manipulated whilst the antagonist will be the
blackmailer who stalks the victim online.

SUGGESTED
LOCATIONS
We decided to make our locations more public so it will
create a sense of real life situations, this way the audience
can empathises alongside the victim. Because our film is a
cyber-thriller, we want to use low-key lighting, e.g, the
living room. Other locations that a typical teenager would
use will include:
Coffee shop
Town

THE BBFC
The BBFC publishes short information about all the film and
video rates. It gives the viewers a clear idea od what issues the
film contains and helps them make the right choice. For our
short film, we have chosen the age 15 for our target audience, as
we think it will be suitable for 15 and over as their would be brief
scenes of violence or verbal reference to nudity and strong
language. We know that no one under the age of 15 is allowed to
the film and it is not suitable the use too much of violence, nudity
and strong language.
