FIFA FOOTBALL STADIUM

INTRODUCTION
To provide a world class stadium for ultimate sports entertainment

platform for the increasing football fan base


Football is the second most popular sport in India but it lacks
infrastructure in terms world class stadiums to cater to growing fan
base of the football

MOTIVATION

The likes of players Lionel Messi and top European clubs like Bayern
Munich visiting India has given boost for entrepreneurs , to invest on
large scale football stadium
Being the second most populated country many European clubs have
shown interest to invest in youth by funding training programs and
student exchange programs
India has won the bid for upcoming FIFA U-17 WORLD CUP in 2017.but
nonoeof the stadiums are upto the standards of FIFA regulations
Bangalore is one of the host cities for the event , gives an ideal
motivation to invest on the a world class stadium

Understanding the characteristics of the recreational and spectator


areas
Understanding FIFA standards for stadium construction

DESIGN ELEMENT
Study and applying of structural system called TENSEGRITYto
achieve large spanning lightweight roofing system for the stadium
Engaging the spectators before and after the match by providing
facilities like
1. Fan lounges
2. Gaming rooms to play virtual computer games
More interaction between the players and the spectators
Design based on spectator first experience
Multipurpose use of the stadium for concerts and other public events
involving large crowds
