MEMORANDUM FOR NURSING POSITION
FROM: 943 AMDS/DR. WILLIAM D. GITCHELL, OD
SUBJECT: Recommendation for Amy Aragon-Pollock
‘To Whom it May Coneetn,
I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Master Sergeant Amy Aragon-Pollock for the
Nursing position. I have worked with and supervised Sergeant Aragon-Pollock for 7 years and
find her to be of the utmost character and integrity. During this time she has distinguished
herself through her impeccable work ethic, secking to complete each task assigned to her with a
drive for excellence rarely seen these days. She came to my section as a fully qualified surgical
technician and was able to quickly cross train as an ophthalmic technician. Her dedication to
service continues to be an example to her peers and subordinates. She actively seeks out areas to
assume additional responsibility in order to make our medical unit better. Her drive and
‘commitment to her goals continues to impress me. She has somehow been able to complete her
undergraduate college courses the challenging University of Arizona Nursing Program while at
the same time taking care of her family, working full time, serving in the United States Air Force
Reserve, and holding positions of authority in her son’s Boy Scout troop. She is active in her
‘community as a volunteer at the blood bank as well as running races to support cancer research.
I find her to be an exemplary Non-Commissioned olficer and a truly exceptional human being. 1
believe she would be an even better Nurse. By accepting Amy Aragon-Pollock into your
organization, you would gain the type of high caliber medical professional we need today, and
also advance her goal of serving the public in a higher capacity.
Respectfully subyhjtigd,
lit! ALO,
