Grounding is used to protect the current carrying elements like (lighting arresters) like so, here we protect by connecting phase to
ground. Earthing is used to protect non-current carrying elements phase to earth.

Earthing is the main source to protect the system which consists of various devices by connecting to the ground, whereas grounding
is the process of connecting all the devices to a common point which is the earthing point.

Actually current is nothing its simply flow of charges.earthing is a wire which is common to all the points in a circuit used to complete
the circuit, it is compulsory .while grounding is used to pass leakage of charges to the ground ,it is used for safety measure but not
compulsory.
