BP released a statement about an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico caused by an explosion on their Deepwater Horizon oil rig that killed 11 people. BP says they are working hard to contain the spill and clear the oil from the ocean to protect wildlife and the local community. Their top priority is safety as they monitor the situation closely and work to repair the environmental damage, providing weekly updates. BP acknowledges this is a serious issue and promises not to stop working until it is resolved.
