To Whom It May Concern:

Amy Aragon-Pollock was my student during her 10 week psychiatric/mental health nursing
clinical rotation last semester. As a clinical instructor/lecturer with fifty years experience in
various psych nursing areas, I have a unique opportunity to become acquainted with my
students as individuals. Since they're learning to use their own personalities as a therapeutic
tool, I try to help them get to know themselves more in depth and as members of a team on our
3-unit inpatient facility. During our psych rotation, they also experience working with older
adults, pediatric therapy services, and intensive adult outpatient group therapy. My goal for
them is to practice interpersonal relationship skills that can be generalized and applied to any
nursing endeavor they choose.
Amy Aragon-Pollock is a special person with unique personal and professional skill sets due to
her background, life experiences, military training and nursing education. She is one of those
people who practices "When the going gets tough, I'll just double-down in my efforts to solve
whatever 'tough' is", and she does! Amy embodies some of those old fashion qualities like
integrity, diligence, perseverance, plus the always valuable - highly organized, focused, mature.
Just review her employment and education profile on her resume. This is someone you want to
interview. Although Amy may appear somewhat reticent at first, it pays to get to know her.
Now the usual (but true) description of the strengths and attributes that Amy will bring to your
organization: 1) a broad and in depth nursing knowledge base; 2) highly developed
technical/technology abilities; 3) excellent verbal/written communication skills and finally; 4) an
appreciation of the value of the continued application of evidenced-based nursing practice.
If she can raise a family, fulfill military duties, and do well at the University of Arizona (the 20th
best College of Nursing in the nation), think what an asset Amy would be to your healthcare
team. An extra added bonus: Amy has health care teaching and leadership experience - all
done with a truly caring heart!
Sincerely,

Susan Markovich, RN, MSN
