    OPTION A CHAPTER 10 The Muslim Contributions to World Civilizations


    Guidelines:
    Now it is YOUR TURN to take on the role of someone living during the earliest years of the Muslim
    Empire
    In order to properly do this you will be asked to write a diary entry based on the following format. Let
    this serve as a checklist as you move through the assessment.
    ** 3 PARAGRAPHS **

    Paragraph 1 DAILY LIFE


    BRIEFLY introduce yourself and your role in the Muslim society.
    o JOBS, HOBBIES, ETC.
    Identify where you live and what is going on in the area during this time.
    o You should think about the major city that was introduced within Chapter 10
    o Do not forget to talk about the importance of this city.
    Introduce and discuss how the culture and your everyday life are changing because of
    the advancements taking place around you. What are some of the benefits of these
    advancements?
    Express how the quality of life within your society has either improved or diminished
    due to these changes.

    Paragraph 2 and 3 MAJOR CONTRIBUTIONS


    Within the next two paragraphs introduce at least two contributions made by the your
    society that you feel are most important.
    Shares your ideas on why you feel these contributions are important influences.
    ** It is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED that you look to incorporate important
    terms and people within this section**
    Conclusion Analyze how these contributions will influence and change future
    societies. (** Think about society today and the legacy that these contributions left
    Now write about them as if they have not happened yet**)
