Robertson
Marvel M. Robertson is the founder of Iggies House Inc and the mother of the late Nia Renee
Robertson. She is a New Orleans Native and graduate of Dillard University.
After recently retiring from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
having served as the Field Office Director for the HUD New Orleans Office and Senior Analyst
in Washington D.C., Robertson moved back to New Orleans to be closer to her family. Ms.
Robertson is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and is a contract consultant to the
Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority. Whenever she is not working endlessly
towards the success of Iggies House, she loves to cook and entertain her family and friends.

Toya Brown-Robertson

When Toya Brown-Robertson is not being superwoman to her husband Doug Robertson her
teenage daughter, Yanci, you might find her a little bit of everywhere. If it wasnt for those two,
shed be traveling the world at the speed of light. Superwoman is also the Senior Human
Resources Representative at Entergy where she is responsible for the administration of employee
benefits plans. Before her superwoman role, she was a student just like Iggies House recipients.
She breezed through the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (formerly USL- University of
Southwestern Louisiana), receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Insurance and Risk
Management with a minor in Finance. Even her girl-scout troupe gets to meet Superwoman from
time to time. She is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion and supporting the collegiate
success of the younger generation.
