The City State of Emergency for this recent March storm will be lifted at 1400 hours
(2:00 p.m.) The Emergency Operations Center (E.O.C.) will be suspending operations
at 1400 hours (2:00 p.m.). All calls for service will be routed through routine emergency
numbers, i.e. Police, Fire, etc. The City is now entering a damage assessment and
recovery phase with continuing coordination among the various emergency
departments and support agencies. Those agencies will facilitate periodic briefings
throughout the recovery and needs assessment process. All roads with the exception of
Wilderness Road and Crown Street are open and passable and the City is working with
the National Guard in recovery efforts.
