Progress Report for the

Semi-Formal Report

Introductory Summary:

The purpose of the semi-formal report is to do

extensive research and gather information so a
decision can be made. This type of report generally
contains graphics as well as information.

The topic I have chosen to research is home security

systems and what system would be the best to get
for a house.

Work Completed

Done a little bit of research on the topic of home

security systems and have found a small amount of
information that is useful. I have found a lot of
information on the topic but I have not found much in
that information to be useful.

Have not really sat down and started constructing

my report yet.

Work in Progress

I am currently in the process of doing a lot more

research because what I have found so far is not very
useful.

Work Planned

I still have to get some numbers to make graphics so

I will have some illustrations for the report.

Have to get more information for my report.

Start constructing my report so I can see what I will

need to put more work into.

Problems/Challenges

Nothing really as far as problems with this other than

just a lot of work. Having a little trouble getting
myself going. Had to find an angle to attack and start
to make some progress.

Overall Progress

I am somewhat coming along with some progress. I

am still having little things come up here and there
when I am researching but I am slowly getting it
done.
