The 2015 Health Connection Health Fair was an event that took place in the Johnson C.
Smith Jack S. Brayboy Gymnasium. I volunteered as well participated in some of the activities.
This event was a convention where different departments displayed their companies to educate
the public on what they were all about as well as what they stood for. I volunteered as a lunch
server where I handed out lunches to the people who were apart of the fair and had them sign off
once they received their meals. The one station that caught my eye was the Novant Health Care
station. It caught my eye because they pricked your finger to check your blood sugar. I chose this
one mainly because I have diabetes on both sides of my family and know its something that I
will always have to keep up with and pay close attention to. This event was not only beneficial
but informative as well.
