Creative Commons

When using someone elses work, it is important to ask for permission first before using unless
the work is labeled with Creative Commons. This give the user automatic permission from the
creator to use his/her work. However, there are certain guidelines that must be followed in order
to use someones work. The most important guideline to follow is to never use somebody elses
work to make a profit.

Confusion:
What is a good way to double check to see if we are using a Creative Commons material
appropriately?

Discussion:
Why is it important to never use someone elses work to make a profit?
It is important because the creator is only granting permission for the material to be used as
needed but never so that one can make a profit out of it. That is a privilege that only the creator
has permission to do.
