Dear Mayor:

This is the committee meeting schedule that will be held in the City
Council Chambers on April 6, 2010. All Council committee meetings shall
begin that afternoon at 2:30 p.m. unless otherwise designated.

Finance Committee Meeting at 2:30 p.m.

1. To consider final adoption of an ordinance amending 2009-2010

capital budget for Red River Levee certification.

2. To continue discussing the Mayor’s Proposed 2010-2011 annual

capital budget.

Community Development Committee Meeting at 3:30 p.m. or

immediately following

1. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to

enter into a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement, including a lease and
other provision related thereto, with the Central Louisiana Chapter of
the Red Cross.

2. To hear a report from a representative from Arna Bontemps.

 Public Works Committee Meeting at 4:00 p.m. or immediately
following

1. To hear from the Administration concerning the drainage in Martin

Park.

2. To consider final adoption of an ordinance annexing a 28.157 acre

tract of land situated at the intersection of North Bolton Avenue and
MacArthur Drive, being property acquired by Central LA Ambulatory
Surgical Center for expansion of its facilities.

3. To hear from the Administration on the ditch closure project on

Vermont Street area in District 3.

4. To hear an update report from the Administration on the

reconstruction of St. Juliana Street in Acadian Village.

5. To hear a financial status report from the Administration on all

SPARC projects and fund balance.

Legal Committee Meeting at 4:30 p.m. or immediately following

1. To hear from the City Attorney on open meetings Law.

2. To hear from Mr. B. J. Ayers of Rapides CASA Office to speak on

Child Abuse Awareness Month.

Please have your staff note the change in format for the committee
meetings done in compliance with R. S. 42.7. The Council has directed that
the City Clerk may advise the public of scheduling regarding committee
meetings. It is always that intention of the Council to convene committee
meetings at the conclusion of the prior committee meeting unless the Chair
of the meeting may indicate otherwise for the convenience of the public.
Have appropriate members from your Administration present for discussion.
