1. Focus/Bell Work/Hook: how do you plan to get the students attention and focus
on the topic/content?
Find videos of students who have felt out of place before
2. Introduction of concept/goals/standards
Ask when is a time in their life that they have felt out of place
3. Steps of the lesson: whole group, small group, individual work and
expectations for each step
Small groups to work on how they can prevent people from feeling left out
4. Writing:
Write a paragraph talking about how they felt when they were once left out or
not wanted
5. Assessment: how to you plan to assess if students did accomplish the goals of
the lesson?

It fits in because when you feel like youre left out and not wanted, that is when you
need to have the most courage

I expect students to not make others feel left out and not wanted
Purpose of the lesson?
To show students and to help them remember what it is like on the outside and that
they shouldnt put others in that situation but how to handle things if they are put in
that situation
