Three characteristics I can use to identify legitimate sources are: understand academic standards,

consider the author's scholarly reputation, and focus on scholarly-peer-reviewed sources. Approaches I
can take to incorporate sources into my writing are: to use a works cited page at the end of my paper and
to cite the author/source whenever it is used. This relates to the first year outcome statement because the
ability to properly find and incorporate sources into your paper is a required skill to have gained by the end
of the year.
