SSKE1 The student will describe the work that people do (police officer, fire fighter, soldier, mail
carrier, baker, farmer, doctor, and teacher).

What are some different types of jobs people do and why are they important?

students will learn the type of work that police officers, news reporters, presidents, firefighters,
doctors, and teachers do.

Assessment
The students will be asked to answer questions regarding the type of work that people do.
The student will be given a sheet of paper with pictures of people dressed in uniform and
will be required to match certain tools used in that profession (i.e. Firefighter will be matched
with water hose, axe, and fire truck).
