Science Fair Reflection

Student Name:
Lonnie Barton
Date:
11/25/2015
Portfolio Artifact Description:
Science Fair Create 7 slide science fair linear show
What you learned:
I did not learn to much on this project because it was just a ordinary power point
presentation. I am pretty familiar with PowerPoint so creating the presentation wasnt
that difficult. However, what I did learn came from the actual science experiment.
Looks like if you want your breath to stay fresh and clean the most effective thing to use
is mouth wash. It really was much stronger and fresher. Like I mentioned in the
conclusion it would be interesting to see how this would stand up against different types
of mouthwashes, etc.
National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS)T Addressed:

learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the
Standards S.
a. Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and
resources to promote student learning and creativity.
And
c. Customize and personalize learning activities to address students diverse learning
styles, working strategizes and abilities using digital tools and resources.
Application of Skills Learned for the Future:
I 100 % will use PowerPoint as a teacher. I will incorporate this into my teaching every
single day. There are so many neat things that you can do with PowerPoint (like the
Jeopardy game and or tables and graphs) that could totally enhance the way you
present information. I for sure will also have students create and make PowerPoint
presentations as a class project. I only wish we had this type of programs when I was
in grade school.
