The interactive oral has dramatically given me a deeper insight and

understanding of the main themes and philosophical background of

the poems by Wislawa Szymborska. According to many writers and
philology professors in the university of Warsaw, Wislawa
Szymborskas works permitted the historical and biological context
to come to light in fragments of human reality with an adept use of
ironical precisionism, which clearly demonstrates the historical
experience of a person who lived in a nation dominated by two
different and juxtaposing autocracies. The most discussed topics
during the interactive oral were the use of ironical precisionism and
paradoxical language and the effect of the historical context on the
writing style. The first words that the members of the Norwegian
was that her use of Ironical Precissionism is what make her be the
winner of the Nobel Prize of Literature in 1996. During the debate,
we have brought the example of the poem Under One Small Star
and the poet states in the 13th verse And you, falcon, unchanging
years after year, always in if it turns out you were stuffed which
we can clearly see how she uses the ironical precisionism in this
verse and the same time it reveals the universal theme about the
insignificance of small events; it further exposes how society does
not take into consideration things that happen far from us since
what we are alert is what happens next to us. Additionally, the
second most discussed topic is the cultural and historical context of
the author. Most of her poems were based on the experience she
had when Poland was under the Nazi and later the Communist
Regime. In the poem Tortures, she describes how tortures have
not change throughout history and she contrasts two elements by
stating that many other things such as cultures and nature have
change but not tortures.
In conclusion, the interactive oral discussed about the fundamental
aspects involved in the poems from Wislawa Szymborska and it
further allowed me to learn more knowledge about Poland in the 20th
century that were the main influences of Wislawa Szymborskas
writing style.
