The Harlem Renaissance was a movement for african american cultural identity. It was a movement
that was mostly evident up in the northern cities like Chicago and New York City because of the
migration and white supremacy in the south, causing african american people to seek better lives up
north. The notherners werent so welcoming, so the Harlem Renaissance began to shed more light on the
african american lives.
