ADDITIONAL THEORY

Obsevation
From the experiment ,we found that:-

1.The amount of friction will increase when the weight is increase

2.When the angle of inclination increase the weight also will increase to move the block
3.When the metal suface of the block contact with the wooden plane it cause friction
4.The minimum angle of inclination of place to move to the block move in test 2 is 15degree.
5.The surface of incline different friction.
6.The block touch another area and can cause uneasy to move.

Table 1: Data Results

CALCULATIONS

For test 2,
P = W sin + ( W cos )
= 0.785 sin 28+ 0.532( 0.785 cos 28)
= 0.74
For test 3,
P = W sin + ( W cos )
= 0.785 sin 0+ 0 ( 0.785 cos 0)
=0
For test 4,
P = W sin + ( W cos )
= 0.785 sin 20+ 0.364( 0.785 cos 20)
= 0.54
For test 5,
P = W sin + ( W cos )
= 0.785 sin 30+ 0.577( 0.785 cos 30)
= 0.79

For test 6,
P = W sin + ( W cos )
= 0.785 sin 40+ 0.839( 0.785 cos 40)
= 1.01

For test 7,
P = W sin + ( W cos )
= 0.785 sin 45+ 0.364( 0.785 cos 45)
= 1.11

Findings
The values of P increases as the
angle increases.
The calculated values > the actual
values
S < P as the block slides down
A starting push on the block is
required to overcome the static
coefficient.

Limitations

CONCLUSION

Conclusion

Important of friction angle of inclined plane.

The greater the angle, the speed the movement of
object
Gravitational force

Problem Faced
Block sometimes glide with wall of the plane.

Recommendation
Stabilise the plane
