Teaching/Learning Strategies How? / Comments

Checks understanding of important
concepts and clarifies where
necessary.

The teacher gave the instructions of the writing project. Also

there were handouts given to the students to make sure they
are aware of the project. The teacher were walking around the
class, monitoring students understanding of the task. However
the teacher was checking each group.

Provides opportunity for meaningful

language development to take place.

The teacher gave new words (adjectives), which could help

students to build up their writing.

appropriate level.

The teacher was talking with students with good level of

language, which suits students level, and they could
understand what she is saying.

students and their level.

The teacher asked the students to download switch zoo app.

The app will help students with their writing project, where
they can work on the project with apps support. As I watched
that the app was easy to use, there was description of the

with the project. By at the have to produce the project

The teacher worked successfully to answer students questions,

help them with their problems if they face while using the new
app.

Good rapport & classroom control.

The students were on the task. Most of the students were

enjoying the lesson. The students were following teachers
instructions. As I observed there were good relationship
between the students and teacher, I did not see any
misbehavior during the lesson.

Uses class time effectively, i.e. pace

and timing.

The teacher was giving extra time for students, because they
did not finish the activity. The students were taking long time
with some of the activities.

Observees reflections on the lesson: (eg What I liked . What Id do differently.)

I like using switch zoo app, giving them new words which could help them with their writing and
I liked the way of you monitoring the students.
I would do differently instead of giving students activity on the paper, I will use near pod app to
let students do the activity online or using different apps.
