UNIT OVERVIEW:
This module introduces students to the fundamental differences
between good and evil. Students understand themselves as
being able to choose (Free Will) to be agents for good or agents
for evil.
TASK

In Psalms 34:13-14, we read that we should choose to do the

right thing. Read the passage and discuss its meaning in class.

Using this analysis you must come up with an advertising campaign that
effectively communicates the theme Do all the good you can.
You should focus your campaign on a particular social issue for example;
Poverty, Homelessness and how some Catholic Organisations live out the
meaning of Psalm 34:13-14 by helping those in need for example;
Caritas and project compassion.
The form of your advertising is negotiable with your RE teacher.
Design your campaign keeping in mind the following criteria:
1. Social Issue; What is your Specific Social Issue? Why do you think it is important?
Who does it affect and why?
2. AUDIENCE: who are you targeting with your campaign? Is it peers,
adults, the general community?
3. IMAGE: what image of goodness are you trying to project? Doing the
right thing all the time can be dull how will you make goodness more
appealing?
4. LOCATION: where will you advertise? On the internet? In a magazine?
In the newspaper? On TV? On Radio?

5. DELIVERY: will your campaign be easy to deliver?

You must produce an advertisement for Do all the good you can for the
classroom. You will be marked on clarity of meaning.
